The way you save, share, and organize your graphs has changed. Learn about the updates by viewing a side-by-side comparison of the old and new versions and reading through some frequently asked questions.
Saving Your Graphs
The Save button will appear whenever you make changes to your graph. Click Save to store your graph in your account. Or, press CTRL + S (Windows) or CMD + S (Mac).
Be sure to save your graph each time you make edits so you do not lose any progress. If you are not signed in, you’ll be prompted to sign in or create a free account before you can save any changes.
To rename a saved graph, click the More Options dropdown. Then, select Rename and enter the new name of your graph. Click Save to update the name.
Managing Your Saved Graphs
To access all of your saved graphs, click Open Graph. Or, press CTRL + O (Windows) or CMD + O (Mac).
Your saved graphs will open, and from here, you can filter your graphs by calculator type and explore premade example graphs.
You can view your saved graphs in a list or grid layout. In both views, you can filter by tool to find what you need.
If you view your graphs in a list, you will be able to sort them by date or by graph name.
Find a specific graph by entering its name into the search bar.
If you want to edit a graph without altering the original, click the three vertical dots to the right of the graph title. Then, select Duplicate. This will create a new file that is separate from the original.
Organizing Saved Graphs
You can organize your graphs by grouping them within folders. To create a new folder, click the dropdown next to New Graph. Select Add Folder. Then, enter a name for your new folder. Folders are automatically organized by creation date and appear above your individual saved graphs.
To add graphs to a folder, select one or more graphs by checking the box next to each graph name. You can also press and hold SHIFT to select multiple graphs at a time. Then, drag them into the desired folder or select Move Graphs to place them into the folder.
To move a single graph, you can also click the three vertical dots and then select Move. This will allow you to move a graph to an existing folder or add it to a new folder.
Deleting Saved Graphs
To delete a graph, click the three vertical dots to the right of the graph title. Then, select Delete.
To delete a folder, select the three vertical dots to the right of the folder name. Then, select Delete Folder. This option moves any graphs back into your Saved Graphs view.
Or, select Delete Folder and Graphs. This option deletes both the folder and its contents.
To delete multiple graphs at once, select your graphs by checking the box next to each graph name. You can also press and hold SHIFT to select multiple graphs at a time. Then, click Delete Graphs.
Sharing Your Graphs
Click Share to share links or images of your graphs. You can share links to your Graphing, Geometry, or 3D graphs in two ways.
Share a Snapshot
If you want to share what your graph looks like at a specific moment without saving it to your account, click Share a Snapshot. Or, press
The snapshot will display your graph exactly as it looked when you generated the link. It will not change if you update the original source graph.
You can’t edit or delete a snapshot because it does not save to your account. If you think you’ll want to make changes later, use the Save and Share This Graph option instead.
Save and Share Your Graph
If you'd like to save your graph to your account and share it, click Save and Share This Graph. This option creates a shareable link that stays the same even if you keep editing your graph later. Anyone with the link will always see the latest version with your most recently saved edits.
Importing a Graph Link
If you paste a link to a graph into the expression list of a new graph, the new graph will import the contents of the linked graph. You can only paste links into graphs made in the same tool, with one exception. You can paste links from the Graphing Calculator into the Geometry Tool.
Note: When you share either type of link with someone else, they can save a copy to their account. They can also make edits to their version, but any changes they make will not affect the version in your account.
